New Visa Application procedure at The Embassy of Greece in New Delhi
The Embassy of Greece, New Delhi is pleased to introduce a new facility to
meet the increasing demand for Greek Visa among Indians. It is our constant
effort to provide greater comfort and convenience to our visa applicants.
Applicants residing in India have to apply for their visa at the Embassy of
Greece in New Delhi. These applications can now be submitted at the Greece Visa
Application Centre, No 15 – 26 Block E 2nd Floor International Trade Tower,
Nehru Place, New Delhi - 110019
Applicants residing in Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh applying for Schengen Visa are
requested to submit their applications at The Italian Consulate and Applicants
residing in Nepal applying for Schengen Visa are requested to submit their
application at The French Consulate in their respective countries. The Embassy
of Greece (India) will not accept their Schengen Visa applications. Only
National Visa applications from above mentioned countries will be accepted at
The Embassy of Greece, New Delhi.
A visa application can be submitted by the following:
1) Applicants applying under short term visa categories can submit their
applications through representatives or travel agents along with the authority
letter and photo proof.
2) Representatives of Corporate Institutions can submit applications with
proof of identity (photo ID or a letter of authority on the company letterhead
signed by the authorized signatory).
3) Travel Agents should have an authority letter from their travel agency
mentioning the details of the applications.
Applications accepted at Greece Visa Application Centre will be submitted on
the same working day at The Embassy of Greece. The time required to process
Visa Applications is minimum of 10 working days under normal circumstances
(excluding day of submission at VFS).
For collection of passports on behalf of an intended traveler, he/she is
required to issue an authorization letter to a representative or a travel
agent.
National Visa:
Submission of applications for all Long Term Visa Categories (Family
Reunion/Work Permit/Student/Re-Entry)
will only be accepted from intending travellers. Applications for Long Term
Visa Categories will not be accepted from representatives and travel
agents.
Please Note that all applicants are requested to carry additional photocopies
of first and last page of the passport during the course of submission of their
applications.

Schengen Information
|
Schengen visa has to be
obtained from The Embassy / Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF
TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before making your
application to The Greek Embassy. In case of travel to multiple Schengen
countries, please make your application to The Embassy/ consulate where you
will be staying for the maximum number of days, or from the Point of First
Entry into the Schengen Countries, if the duration of stay is the same in more
than one Schengen Country.
